Youthful blood proteins found in Swiss centenarians

Swiss SWISS100 proteomic analysis led by the University of Geneva and University of Lausanne compared centenarians, octogenarians and adults aged 30–60. Centenarians' blood proteomes often resembled those of much younger adults, showing lower oxidative stress, reduced antioxidant activity, stable metabolic and insulin-regulation proteins, and preserved extracellular-matrix factors. The patterns suggest a slower molecular aging trajectory influenced by both genetic and lifestyle factors.
Why it mattersSWISS100 (University of Geneva/Lausanne) found lower oxidative stress in centenarians; prioritize oxidative-stress proteins as trial biomarkers.
