Scalable flow synthesis of ultrasmall inorganic nanoparticles for biomedical applications via a confined impinging jet mixer
A confined impinging jet mixer (CIJM) enables single-step, aqueous synthesis of homogeneous sub-5 nm inorganic nanoparticles. The method produces silver sulfide, silver telluride, cerium oxide, and iron oxide particles under ambient conditions and scales reproducibly while preserving biological function.
Why it mattersCIJM makes sub-5 nm nanoparticles (silver sulfide, ceria, iron oxide) at clinical scale.
