Plasmon-enhanced bioassay for amplification-free detection and quantification of SARS-CoV-2 RNA
Plasmon-enhanced fluoroimmunoassay using the S9.6 antibody enables amplification-free detection and absolute quantification of SARS-CoV-2 RNA with LOD improvements up to ~2300-fold versus ELISA and clinical sensitivity/specificity comparable to RT-PCR. The digital, plasmonic-fluor approach is scalable and adaptable to other RNA targets for low-cost, point-of-need quantitative testing.
