Liquid–liquid phase separation by caged coacervating peptides

Caged coacervating peptides (CCPs) based on a histidine-rich squid beak sequence form coacervates that rapidly disperse after blue-light photo-uncaging; a mutant CCP enables light-dependent encapsulation and release of Bodipy-ATP, demonstrating a controllable platform for biomolecular encapsulation and targeted drug delivery.

Why it mattersBlue-light photo-uncaging triggers rapid coacervate dispersion and controlled Bodipy-ATP release.
