Feeder-free ex vivo expansion of cord blood-derived natural killer cells for enhanced proliferation and functional maturation

2–supplemented culture media were compared for ex vivo expansion of cord blood-derived NK cells, with CTS™ NK-Xpander (NKX) achieving the highest fold expansion and strongest functional responses, NK MACS variants showing CD56bright/CD16low shifts and donor variability, and cost analysis identifying NKX and NKM1 as the most cost-efficient options for clinical-scale manufacturing.
Why it mattersNKX's superior expansion and cost-efficiency mean manufacturers should prioritize it for scalable CB-NK production.
